I haven't looked at your extension, but what I always wanted from a "does everything gallery" is to
be able to simple show images from a directory as the easy way, but also to be able to use records
with meta data when it has to be a bit more sophisticated.

As for the views, flexible as in eg. "display gallery as slideshow"?
