[TYPO3-mvc] EscapeViewHelper - invalid multibyte sequence

Hey there,

my Typo3 error log is currently beeing flood by the following error message:

Core: Error handler (FE): PHP Warning: htmlspecialchars() [<a 
href='function.htmlspecialchars'>function.htmlspecialchars</a>]: Invalid 
multibyte sequence in argument in 
/var/www/vhosts/website/httpdocs/typo3conf/ext/fluid/Classes/ViewHelpers/EscapeViewHelper.php 
line 80

Before I start a longer debuggin gsession, somebody any idea what could 
cause this? The whole system is utf-8.
