Would the following work (as workaround):

Creating my own class "Tx_ExtExample_Domain_Model_DAM" with all I need 
and then add to the output of "txdam_getMediaTCA()" a "'foreign_class' 
=> 'Tx_ExtExample_Domain_Model_DAM'" ?
