In Canada you have a Federal country-wide tax of 7% called GST Goods and 
Services Tax (TPS in french, Taxe sur les Produits et Services).

And each of the 10 Provinces have his own. The funny thing here in 
Québec is that we add 7.5 % over price AND GST.

Price writen on article: 10$
Add 7% GST = 10.70
Add 7.5% of provincial tax: 0.80
Total: 11.50 $
