[TYPO3-ttnews] tx_news articles lost?

Hello all,
After I wanted to upgrade to TYPO3 6.2, I ran into a problem...needed to 
downgrade again and had to restore the files (not the db, nor the core) 
from backup. No all news articles are gone...? I guess they are stored 
in the database, but I can't find them..any other place to look to 
reactivate them? Database compare was done...I hope they did not get 
delted during this compare?
