[TYPO3-ttnews] Template works only in EXT

never done it, but I think you have to declare the path /dat/ somewhere in 
Install Tools, one moment please...

Ah, I think it's [BE][lockRootPath] =
but I don't know, if dat/ is enough here, perhaps you google for it.
