[TYPO3-ttnews] PHP version (5.2.0) is higher than allowed (5.1.99) ???

I am using TYPO3 4.1 beta and PHP 5.2 without any problems except some
major issues concerning tt_news.
Under PHP 5.2 it seems virtually impossible to edit the news plugin as
the BE will only display a blank white page. This does not happen with
any other extensions.
Editing of news entries an news categories does work without problems
though.

Any ideas?!
