[TYPO3-ttnews] Filesize limit of images

Hi list,
When I try to upload images with a filesize >1MB (in the "images"-field, 
not in the RTE), I get the following error:

1: Filesize (1.3 M) of file 
'/usr/www/users/idu/fileadmin/images/hands.jpg' exceeds limit (1.0 M). 
(tt_news:184:image)

How can I remove this filesize limit? The manual seems to give no hints.
