[TYPO3-ttnews] CATMENU, ACT wrap, HOOK

Hello,

I use a CATMENU in my left panel, for all the web site, so. And I have a 
HMENU, TMENU under it.

In the TMENU, I use the "ACT.wrapItemAndSub" property that's help me to 
put a background color for all the selected under pages in the selected 
level.

In a CATMENU, we can only wrap level by level.

So, is there a way to achieve that with a CATMENU ? How ?

Trying to find a way, I see some litterature about Hook , but do not 
understand very well the concept. In the user manual, it say that exist 
a "userDisplayCatMenuHook", what for ? Some examples of use ?
