[TYPO3-timtab] timtab without pictures?

hi people,
occasionally when i try to blog, i want to link to a picture or
display a picture, but to no avail picture is never shown ?!

the RTE cleans the html away, uploading unter 'relations' does not yield any
success..

it is a multi domain site, and the news plug in works with pictures elswhere, but
not in timtab  :(

anything that i have overlooked?
