As always with OSS: when ever we or somebody elss finds time. 
Alternativly - as always with OSS - you can speed things up with donations.
Other than that you'd need to use a version from SVN until it is 
available in a release in TER.

Anyway, please add a feature request for tt_news in the bugtracker.
