[TYPO3-Solr] unable to contact the Apache Solr server

-  someone else did the install, he pulled the script from the solr extension directory.
-   "should be addressed"...does this mean that the name field in the xml file should be: name="/solr/core_en/"?
- No, do not see any further hints from the Reports module. 
- I am not sure what you mean by using hosted-solr.com as a test?
