[TYPO3-Solr] Custom Index on tt_content is not refreshe automatically

I found the solr api "documentation" 
http://forge.typo3.org/projects/extension-solr/wiki/Extension_API

there is described that you can make an instance of tx_solr_indexqueue_Queue
and than you can call updateitem. Maybe I could create some kind of hook on the saving action in Typo3.

Does anyone know if this would be a solution for my case? Than I would not have to adjust the record monitor class.
