Maybe add this too:

The Reportsmodule has a Solr report now. It will complain about
different aspects and give hints to solve them. Most of the time the
reasons can be found in different aspects like:

* The Solr Server can not be reached. Firewall. DNS. PHP Modules.
SELinux and the likes.

* You are using the wrong schema.xml that is not supposed to work with
the installed extension
