[TYPO3-seminars] Alternative to changing FrontEnd/DefaultController.php for frontend customizing?

Dear all,

in order to fullfill a rather basic requirement I had to change the above file. Default rendering order of listview:

1)selectorwidget
2)list items
3)pagebrowser

Required order:
1)selectorwidget
2)pagebrowser
3)list items

I was quite suprised that this cannot be performed with changing the frontend html template...did I miss something? Obviously the extension is not easily updateable anymore which is bad. Best regards, Thomas
