[TYPO3-seminars] seminar as conference possible?

Hello list,

i am pretty new to the seminars extension and i have a feature question.

Besides the normale seminars, is it possible to have something like a
conference registration?
that means that there should be one seminar (the conference) users can
registerer for, and only after that they see all the other seminars of
this conference?

something like a parent seminar?
or could that be done using categories? or topcis?
would it be hard to implement something like that?
