[TYPO3-seminars] Display title from event type=date

Hi,

I have an event of type=topic with a title of FOO.
If I create an event type:date with a title of BAR linking to the above
topic, the list view displays FOO as the title.

Is there a way to fetch and display the title from the actual date
record instead of the 'parent' topic record?
