This variable should contain *all* fields that should be shown on the
registration page. So (assuming that you also want to see other fields),
you'll need to add "seats" to the current list of fields.

And if you really only want to see this one field, this should still
work (at least it does on my test installation). If you're using a
custom HTML template, have you tried using the original HTML template?
