[TYPO3-project-seminars] How to enable to see the list of registrations (for attendees) before registration

I found a similar problem with an answer:

For a non-registered FE user to be able to see the list of registrations
in the FE, you need to set that FE user as VIP user for those events
(this can only be done in the BE) and then use the "my VIP events"
plugin type.

This solutions is not practicable for me cause there are several hundred 
user which I would need to add, right?

But wouldn´t it be much more easy to change the extension and use a user 
group as VIP instead a single user.

But where to start if I would try to do make this changes ?

Or is there someone with a better solution ? ... would be great :-)
