[TYPO3-project-seminars] Place (City/Country) as a dropdown or normal input

Hi,
 
right now FEuser creating an event has to choose from a list of existing
locations. 
 
1. Is there any possibility to turn on a normal input for City (Ort)? If
yes, please be so kind and give me a hint how to do this.
2. Is it possible to add a new field for country to mentioned form? If yes,
which files must be modified?
