[TYPO3-rte] RTE: three dots '...' are displayed as question mark in FE !

Hell,

I have the following problem:

When I enter in the RTE 3 dots, like  '...' they are displayed just fine 
in the backend.

But in the FE, it only shows a question mark '?' instead of the '...'


What can  I do ?
