[TYPO3-RTE] (no subject)

Hi Guys,

First of all, the current setup:
Typo3 V4.1.3
HTMLarea V1.5.4
Also tried tinyRTE V1.6.6 which fixed this issue but gave us so many more!

I guess I should explain the problem..

Ok, here goes. The problem as it stands is:

Living in the MS orientated world we do, it's inevitable that users will
paste content from MSoffice into typo3, the current setup does a fairly good
job of cleaning this up, however some tags are left behind.
HTMLarea is converting remaining Msoffice smart tags to &lt *whatever the
smart tag was* &gt
Which is quite unfortunate, because we are trying to strip out smart tags in
the pageTSconfig RTE.default.removetagsandcontent, if they are encapsed in
character entities the pageTSconfig ignores them..
Is there some sort of configuration within HTML area to tell it that these
are "legitimate" tags, and therefore not to convert them?
Or is there a better solution to strip this superfluous fluff out?
