[TYPO3-RTE] Automatically setting rtekeep="1" for links creating in htmlareaRTE

How do I automatically make the htmlareaRTE add rtekeep="1" to all links before it parses them through the rte?

I have 

function TS_AtagToAbs($value,$dontSetRTEKEEP=FALSE) 

set in 

class.t3lib_parsehtml_proc.php 

but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Are there any other settings I need to change?
