[TYPO3-RTE] RTE not working in Safari 2

Hello,

at a customer of mine the problem appeared, that the RTE doesn't load at
all. Just a white text box like it would look like if RTE is disabled.

This happens with

TYPO3 4.1.1
htmlArea RTE 1.5.2
Mac OS X 10.4.9
Safari 2.0.4

Any ideas here how to solve this?
