[TYPO3-RTE] Avoiding stolen entities when switching between html code view and wysiwyg view?

I will reactivate this thread because I've got similar problem:
When I write an HTML entity [like π or —] in RTE's HTML view or  
insert one using symbol palette, they are gone when I switch back to  
editor view..
Can't find out any configuration option for this.
Any idea?
