[TYPO3-RTE] How to escape links?

Hello,

I've seen this question on the list before, but haven't found an answer.

Is there any way to escape links? If you've got a line of text that's a
link, pressing the space bar after it, or pressing shift-enter to get a
line break causes any text you put in after it to be part of that link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and I'm running typo 4.0 on a redhat 4.0 AS server. I'm also using
version 1.4.1 of htmlArea RTE.
