[TYPO3-RTE] rtehtmlarea 1.1.2 table operations not visible

rtehtmlarea 1.1.2
When I click the table operations button the "table operations" popup
seems to flash on the screen for an instant and then it disappears.
Only a very simple table properties popup appears.

How can I set the table operations popup remain visible so I can edit
table borders, padding, etc?
