[TYPO3-news] tx_news 3.0.1: bug with calculation of entries in "Date menu" output

Hello,The "Date menu" mode calculate how many news exist for previous months (ie. 2014 / September (1 entry)).
Unfortunately since I installed latest version 3.0.1 on Typo3 6.2.5, the number is wrong because all news records including the hidden records or records with expiration date exceeded.
Is that a bug (known?) or should I change anything in my config (because of  a change in the latest version)?
