Okay, i got the idea and think this could be very useful. But what
should happen, if an existing parent record with e.g. four child records
is edited and the type of the parent changes from "person" to
"organisation". Then it would be required to the child records to change
the type as well, isn't it?

Feel free to open a new feature request in the bugtracker and post this
new id here.
