[TYPO3-formidable] 2.0.421 with 5.3 and editing in Modalbox

Dear list,

I'm developing locally with php 5.3 and it seems there still is some
"ereg" in the code of your 2.0.421 branch, which I changed manually here
to get things running.

Now the first steps look great and I was playing around with this tutorial:

The lister works great, the values still are there in the editbox but
once I click "Save" in that box, the value returned remain empty.

Any idea what might be the cause of this?
