[TYPO3-project-formidable] Access of parent object in ajax

Hi,

how can I access the parent object in php code in an ajax event?

If I set needparent to true (as an attribute) 

<onchange runat="ajax" needparent="true">

I get in the logs an error message:
PHP Fatal error:  tx_ameosformidable::require_once(): Failed opening required
