If you have a close look at the supported languages of TYPO3 you will notice
that there is only one "English" supported. I must admint that I'm rather a
developer than a marketing or documentation person (Altough I write all documentation
for my extensions myself) but AFAIK also major OS software like Apache, PHP, mySQL (to
count the LAMP) and other software like Gnome, KDE, etc are also thinking of English
as one language. Only software which especially concentrates on finer things of the
language like spellcheckers make a difference.

I already read lots of T3 documentation but never came to the conclusion that one document
is specific "American" or "British" English. When I write documents myself I rather use
"color" than "colour".

It may of course be true that a product which features American-English documentation will
be more accepted in the US market ... so the only problem would be to split up the "English"
which T3 currently uses into "English (US)" and "English (UK)".

But I don't you if you could convince the responsible Persons (Kasper?) of this step.

greets,
Bernhard
