[TYPO3-dam] DAM-problem: entries in old picture field create an ERROR message

in order not to crosspost a problem i refer here to the thread

[TYPO3-english] ERROR-message: class.t3lib_tcemain.php on line 7083

after a very long and painful search of the real malefactor i finally 
detected that the new version of DAM is responsible for this error message.

it was not: crawler, cooluri, old version of TYPO3, rgtabs, templavoila, 
but DAM.

the solution: change all pictures entries from the old picture field to 
the new DAM MEDIA reference field - which can take quite a while...

but then you are done: crawler doesn't generate any more error 500.

just to let everyone know who has the same problem of pages which 
suddenly don't load any more in the FE.
