Thanks for your work. This is just a mailing list, please post a RFC to 
the DAM team list, attaching a patch that works against trunk and 1.1 
branch and with a link to the issue in the bugtracker.

A request has to contain the same information as a request for patching 
the core (see http://typo3.org/teams/core/core-mailinglist-rules/).
