[TYPO3-dam] German special chars (Umlaute) don't appear in the DAM list view

Hi folks,

some of you may have discovered, that the dam list view doesn't handle 
well the german Umlauts. I've made a patch an posted it on bugs.typo3.org.

The problem comes from the PHP function basename which seems to strip 
capital special chars in the beginning of file and folder names.

This is just a workaround, but may help several people.
