[TYPO3-dam] dam flash uploader - does it clean the filenames ?

hi

many thanks for all who bring flash uploader to dam. It works great. 
Almost perfect :)


Why almost? Well - in standard uploader the files goes through
function file_makeCleanName. (lib/class.tx_dam.php)

Flash uploader seems NOT to use this function to make the files clean.

Unfortunately  after diging the into code I did not manage to figure out 
what function flash uploader uses to clean the filenames.

So my question are:
a) does flash uploader uses anything to clean the filenames
b) if yes where is the function located
c) why the dam function is not used for consistency ?
