[TYPO3-dam] performance of file module

Hi all,
my media pool contains about 15.000 images. Loading the file module
takes about 90 seconds each time. Does anybody watch same behaviour on
his machine or am i the only one with that amount of images on a Windows
machine.

To my opinion the bottleneck is reading and traversing the filesystem. I
would be very happy for a workaround.
