[TYPO3-dam] Folder to Category when indexing

Hi guys,
im using dam_index 1.0.3 and have the same problem.
there is no file in this directory i need this functionality or i have to
categorize about 500 files.
any other idea 4 workaround?

Change the first line in

ext/dam/components/class.tx_dam_index_rules.php
function processMeta($meta) {

to

$folder = basename(preg_replace('#/$#','',$meta['fields']['file_path']));
