But I must say it was not such a big thing and I wonder why nobody else did

I can not reproduce that and I cannot see why that should happen. Could you 
please create a new content element and test again. You might have data in a 
now unvisible field which is used. That's a design failure of TYPO3 and 
cannot be fixed.

If it still occurs, deactivate the extension option 'Alternative CSS Styled 
Renderin' and test again.
