[TYPO3-dam] dam demo question

Hi,

I want to run the class.tx_damdemo_actions.php script in the dam demo to 
see how it works.. so I added the following to the localconf:

tx_dam::register_action ('tx_damdemo_action', 
'EXT:dam_demo/class.tx_damdemo_actions.php:&getIcon');

I am not sure of the method name here i.e. getIcon  Can someone please 
guide me how do I get it work. The above gives errors: Class 'getIcon' 
was not prepended with 'user_'

My objective is to call some function/method onclick of some button 
against dam image records. I am not sure if above is the correct approach.

Any comments, hints will be very helpful.
