[TYPO3-dam] How to ceate a file

Hi List,

I must overlook somewhat, but what and where?
I like to use the new DAM as a replacement for the (old) list module.

The first thing I can not solve on my own is how to make an empty file 
in a map?
To make maps is no problem but the possibility to make files, like in 
the old list module is not available.

Where can I find the answer (direction)?
