[TYPO3-dam] DD DAM Gallery - Getting Started

Hello,

I'm not sure what I need to do to get the DD DAM Gallery going, in the
absence of any documentation.

I downloaded the extension today (and dd_extensionframework), placed the
plugin on a page, but nothing appears. I tried setting the starting point to
various places, but nothing worked. Cache cleared... all the usual things I
might try.

I guess there is perhaps some Typoscript to set somewhere. Any hints
available?
