took some time till you get an answer, sorry about that.

I think it's too early to start implementing HTML5 stuff, as it's not
only about when the W3C finishes the specifications but about when can
we expect that we can really use it in the browsers out there... so I
don't think it's a pressing issue.

But we probably need a solution for different doctypes / wrap
combination as the current html output of css styled content is afaik
xhtml compliant - but it does not validate as html4, so you have to make
sure to change the doctype to xhtml when using css styled content
(default seems to be html4.01).

I am not really sure if we should provide another default rendering -
everyone who needs to could just change it to his needs.

My conclusion would be just to adjust the config.doktype option to
xhtml_trans for css styled content, so that these settings match, but
let the rest be as it is.
