I am in with that, but shouldnt this go into the general popup function? 
  According to one of the last threads - if it has to be strict it 
shouldnt use target...

I can send you a piece of code we did for integrating longdesc into the 
original CSS_IMGtext.

Yes - I would like that. I think it should be work this way:
If there is a title, alt longdesc into dam -> use it as default, but 
allow editing on the content element form.

I wouldt like to sponsor these things with 100 Euro. If you interested
