[TYPO3-community] Profiles and usergroup

Hi,

I am working on a site where there are many users with profiles. They should
be able to have their own guestbook, images, internal messages etc.
Also there are different levels for the users (usergroups perhaps) so that a
VIP group can have more functions in their profile.

Does anyone have a recommendation on what extensions to use for this
project. And is typo3 up to the job?

The current site is on Joomla but wanting to move to typo3 if possible.
