[TYPO3-commerce] Commerce - on "create empty article" thereare always 2

Hi list,

As mentioned in another email I test commerce and keep encountering 
behaviours that I cannot explain to myself.

Now I have a product category with several products. Going into one of 
those products (that has a color and a measure attribute) i check the 
"Create empty article" checkbox. When it is saved it produces 
automatically 2 new articles. Is this an intended behaviour? What do I 
have to look for if I want to change that? (Yet I did't find anything 
that I would understand as the very features I look after...)
