[TYPO3-commerce] Credit card payments

I'm working on implementing a commerce shop on my website. I've mostly
got it working but have a question regarding credit card payments.

Is it not possible to accept credit card payments without using a
processing service?  I have a POS system that I would like to use to
process the payments manually on my end.

However, when using the 1-2-3 checkout I can not finish the ordering
process. After checking my data in step 4, checking the terms and
conditions box and pressing the Continue button, I get bumped back to
step 3 with my payment info.
