I don't like this behaviour either.

Please relase the snippet / diff. Maybe post a diff as 'possible 
solution for a feature' to the bug tracker. So that those of us who 
would like to 'hack this in' can do so.

The community would very much appreciate this and it would only take 
about 5 minutes of your time.
