I've added that line to the TSconfig box on the page properties of my Calendar Storage Folder with the ID of some page, but the scheduler is still not working. 

What am I doing wrong? I suspect I have to add it somewhere else, but I have absolutely no idea where. 

Unfortunately I'm not a Typo3 programmer - I inherited this installation from my predecessors who did a very bad job, and I now have to figure all this stuff out without actually knowing what I'm doing. Any help is highly appreciated.

Hallo Stefan,

falls es noch aktuell ist.

ich habe folgende Stellen in der event_model.tmpl ersetzt. Das <table> 
usw. kannst du dir selber drum rumbauen.

Bin auch erst kurz dabei mich in cal einzuarbeiten und es gibt noch 
viele Fragen.

Hello Newsgroup,

we're using cal base 1.4.3 under T3 4.7.x (decided to use it up to the 
end of maintenance) and need a bit of help with 2 questions:

1) Whenever a member of a user group (redakteur login) inserts a new 
dataset for cal base, it isn't shown in the frontend. Inserting by 
Admins works.
Might this be a lack of rights (if so, where) or how could this point 
possibly be solved ?

2) We nedd a possibility to adjust the positioning of the 
noEventsFound-text. {lang.de} plus suiting text is in use, but we don't 
know how to center it since we can't find a css-class or a marker for 
this purpose.

Nr. 1 seeems to be solved - forgot to insert a non-public calendar. Did 
that, denied the rights for listing calendar / categories and everything 
looks like needed. But I propose to think about the necessary db mount 
for the category folder. Access rights (surely needed to use categories) 
without showing the folder together with an admin possibility to enhance 
rights might eventually suit better. Looks difficult in programming hmmm...

Any suggestions for point 2 ?

Do you use DAM?
Did you change anything besides the sources?

can print out the filename, the attachement-label will shown, filePath

thx for thr hint, tried out a few things and got it.

Found sth for Point 1 in addition - denied the showup of page by using: 
options.hideRecords.pages = [pid] :-).

One question is left...can I insert the suiting month into my 
noEventsFound-sentence ?  "Text %B text" doesn't work...dont really need 
that, just would be a nice-to-have as a kind of surprise.

I often have events that have multiple organizers. I found a
feature request http://forge.typo3.org/issues/29646 about
that. There is a mentioning of an extension named
cal_additionalPerson. I can't find that. Does it still
exist ? Does it help with this issue ?

You could use the cal_list_starttime or cal_list_endtime register value. 
Have a look at view.list.heading how to use them.

Hi Stephan,

2 things I've found out:

first: I can reproduce this issue with a 4.5.25 installation locally.
second: it is due to a missing configuration: 
$GLOBALS['TCA']['tt_content']['columns']['tx_cal_media']

The strange thing is, that we add it in tca.php line 2984 and it is gone 
when cal is called the first time :(

I have no clue WHY this is happening and why it is in 4.5.x and not in 4.7.x

It might be the same source. But you are pointing to a TS part, which is 
only active if you have a TYPO3 version 4.3.

Ok, I found it:

"$GLOBALS['TSFE']->loadTCA()" inside the css_styled_content clears the 
needed value.

In newer versions this line changed to "t3lib_div::loadTCA('tt_content');"

Fix:
For 4.5.x move the following lines from the end of the tca.php to 
extTables.php:
if 
(t3lib_utility_VersionNumber::convertVersionNumberToInteger(TYPO3_version) 
 >= 4003000) {
	t3lib_div::loadTCA('tt_content');
	$GLOBALS['TCA']['tt_content']['columns']['tx_cal_media']['config']['uploadfolder'] = 'uploads/tx_cal/media';

Hi group,

after updating TYPO3 from 4.5.22 to 4.5.25 i am getting an internal 
server error when i extend the tx_ca_event table in web -> list module 
(to display [1 - 100+] records). cal is version 1.3.2.

After clicking on the [1 - 100+] icon, the frame loads and loads for 
more than 30 seconds, finally aborted with an internal server error. In 
my case there are only few 400 event records, so a too big database 
isn't the problem... server settings like php memory and script 
execution time are set enough, so this can also not be the cause...

Changing the TYPO3 sources back to 4.5.22 everything works fine and 
fast as always...

Can anybody confirm this? Has anybody any ideas?

I'm pretty sure that we've had something like this. But I'm afraid that 
I can't remember the details...

Sorry, I can't confirm it (yet) since my dev system currently is messed up.

But my first idea is to upgrade cal to a supported version :-)
cal 1.3.x is more or less untestable since we've made tons of changes in 
the last years...

I know ;) Maybe it is running on 4.5. LTS because just basic features 
of cal are used in my case?

Good idea :) But regarding this i've got some questions, see beyond...

You are right that this old version has been used for a too long period 
;) My intention was to upgrade cal to a current version in one step 
with upgrading TYPO3 from 4.5 LTS to 6.2 LTS (when 6.2 LTS will be 
released).

But i don't know if there will be a 6.2 LTS compatible cal version near 
to the date when 6.2 LTS will be released? And if it will be possible 
at all to perform the cal upgrade without having too many problems 
(changed database structure, changed templates, changed configuration, 
etc.)

So would you suggest to first upgrade cal from 1.3.1 to the current 
version on 4.5 LTS (will this be difficult or possible at all?) and 
doing the "big step" to 6.2 LTS together with another cal upgrade 
seperately?

Maybe, but afair we had some serious trouble with 4.5 release. I simply 
can't imagine; maybe except that you really use only standard events, 
with recurrence, ... Anyway, something is broken for pre-1.4 releases -

Hopefully, yes. As for today, I cannot see major problems with TYPO3 6.0 
and cal, so I hope that 6.2 LTS won't bring too many changes.

Switching from any pre-1.4 version to cal 1.5.x needs several changes 
because the templates changed completely, and the handling of recurring 
events is now much smarter and with better performance. In my opinion, 
you should definitly do this work before switching to any TYPO3 6.x 
release.

i have a couipe of lists in the site: one list showing every event from 
now until +3 month: works!

another list: showing events from -3 moth until +3 month : works!

biut my last list i cant set the starttime to -6 hour / -1 day / -2 week 
/ -3 week (there are events in this period !)
when i set starttime = -3 month  or starttime = -2 month : that works
when i set startime = +1 week or +1month: that works too

but i have to show all events from 6 hours ago until +3 month

what is wrong?
i am using cal 1.4.1

Hello everyone

When I activate Frontendediting in Cal then each element has the 
"description"-field. And this uses the internal editor (in my case: 
htmlArea).

Now the problem is: This discription-editor window only appears 
partially and can not be used.

Did I forget to add some settings or is this a bug in 
cal-frontend-editing or in htmlArea?



My Versions:
Typo3: 4.5.25
htmlArea RTE: 2.1.7
cal: 1.5.2

event view. Currently by adding ###LOCATION### i only get the title of
the location record but not the whole address... Whats the trick?

How can i add the city to location to the select list in create event
view? I have several locations named "Rathaus", but no way to distingish
them by city...

i would like to add a small navigation ontop of my Dayview. I would like 
to have Links to the all days of a week (Monday|Tuesday|...) and when 
the day is clicked, e.g. Monday,  i would like to show the next Monday.

Anybody has any ideas how to do that?

Thanks, this didn't work (no output) but including
###MODULE__LOCATIONLOADER### in the template and modifying the module
template worked.

write a module for it.

I was looking for an alternative to VCE (Versatile Calendar Extension) - sk_calendar. It's not bad, but since it haven't been updated since 2009, it took a look for a newer calendar extension. Through Google I accidentally found your wiki page when I searched for "Extended Calendar", so it was not through the TER I found it.

When I look in the TER now, I can't find it on the first page when just searching for "calendar" with the default listing by Relevance. Even when I search for "calendar base", it's not on the first visible screen. It's first on place number 5.

Since this seems like an interesting extension - and also the one with most downloads (which I can see if I change the sorting) - I think you shall do something about this "problem". It's a pity for both your project and the TYPO3 community in general, if good extensions like this are so hard to find.

Yes I mean "cal". The reason I meantioned "Extended Calendar" was because it was how I found the cal extention. The first thing I did was to search for "calender" in the TER and the first hit then is "Extended Calendar". I then wanted to see if there where any more screenshots or demo of this extention out on the Internet and therefore I searched for "Extended Calendar" on Google, and like I said, this lead me to your extention.

I can see that searching for just cal i the TER lists your project as the first, but if you (like me a few days ago) don't know there is an extention called "cal" and then search for "calendar", then "cal" just don't show up, which as I said, I think in bad.

I just can't see how the TER search engine can mean the cal extention isn't "relavant", when searching for the word "calendar".

Even calendar extentions with just over a hundred downloads gets listed before yours!

So do you think there is anything you can do about it?

it's not my extension :D

Currently there is a lot of work done in the TER (e.g. search).
Perhaps you can make an issue on forge, so that we can solve that in the
near future :D

I've got you wrong. Sorry, but filtering by logged in user can only be 
done by manipulating the query fetching the events - which can be done 
throught TS:

something like:
plugin.tx_cal_controller.view.list.event.additionalWhere = TEXT
plugin.tx_cal_controller.view.list.event.additionalWhere {
   data = TSFE:fe_user|user|id
   wrap = and tx_cal_event.fe_cruser_id = |
}

I'm not sure if this TS option got already released, but the next cal 
version is in the pipe. Or get it via svn.
And you might wanna check if the db field fe_cruser_id is filled correctly.

This is not released in 1.5.2, so id backported it for my needs. Works
like a charme.
But it has to be "TSFE:fe_user|user|uid" (just for record and google).
