[TYPO3-calendar] timetable view

Hello,

for a seminar weekend I have to create a special view. For each of these
days all events have to be displayed graphicly like this:

day one
-------
        10   11   12   13   14   15   16
room A: [event 1]      [event 2...]
room B:      [event 3......]     [event 4]
room C: [event 5.....................]

Grouping by day shouldn't be the problem. Displaying them as shown could
be more difficult. Does anyone see a solution "out of the box" by simply
templating, or is it necessary to programm a whole new view?

Is there a documentation on how to write a new view?
